Beyond Decoration

Date: Thursday, September 17, 2015

Venue: The Sheraton Detroit Novi Hotel. 21111 Haggerty Rd., Novi, MI USA 48375

Going beyond decoration, The ITB Group’s first conference dedicated to surfaces created a platform for the introduction of new trends and technologies shaping the Nissan_rogue_interiorautomotive interior and electronics landscape and provided an opportunity for all participants to benefit from ground-breaking developments. Attendees from tooling and manufacturing companies, designers, material, tier and electronic suppliers as well as OEM engineers took part in engaging presentation sessions (17 industry leading presentations were given), excellent networking sessions with industry experts and business development discussions within the adjacent exhibit hall. Nissan Motor Company Japan provided the keynote presentation Thin-Wall Injection-Molding for Soft-Touch IP and a new Nissan Rogue was on display to showcase this technology.

SAS_2015_PieSmart surfaces, both interior and exterior to the vehicle, have emerged as offering vehicle differentiation opportunities. Surfaces are undergoing revolutionary innovations so to increase their functionality, enable value communication, create vehicle harmony through styling, create a feel and culture of the vehicle and provide added and unique features are key to enhancing a vehicle’s craftsmanship. In other words, smart surfaces can enhance a brand’s identity.
