In Automotive, achieving net-zero carbon dioxide emissions as measured by Life Cycle Analyses has become the common thread that impacts all facets of material selection and production, design, engineering, supply chain, component manufacturing, finishing, and assembly. Clarifying definitions and targets by each automotive producer is complex. Potential solutions to reach net-zero carbon emissions can include material as well as manufacturing variations. But what solutions will proliferate in the industry? The ITB Group’s second annual sustainability conference addressed developments, targets, measurements, and solutions for sustainable vehicle production and mobility and provided an excellent in-person platform for learning and having in-depth discussions with leaders from throughout the value chain.
Over six sessions, conference attendees were treated to 22 presentations including informative keynote addresses by Mrs. Gina Oliver at American Chemistry Council Plastics Division and Dr. Soydan Ozcan from Oak Ridge National Lab, as well as Mr. Fred Gersdorff, the Senior Manager of Socially Responsible and Sustainable Supply Chains at General Motors. Open Q&A sessions followed each presentation and the audience participation led to the continuation of valuable discussions that spilled out of the presentation room and kept the networking breaks buzzing.
Conference feedback and testimonials have been extremely positive and planning for our next event in February 2024 is already underway. Want to get in on the action, promote your developments, and help define how sustainability will drive the future of automotive? Options to become a sponsor, exhibitor, and presenter are available and further details will be released soon.
For questions or to reserve your space and confirm your participation at our upcoming conferences, please contact Mr. Bryan Eldredge, Program Director, The ITB Group. Email: beldredge@itbgroup.com – Phone: +1 (248) 380-6310
