The ITB Group's 2024 conference was a pivotal event for automotive professionals, focusing on the sustainable future of vehicle production. Over two days, industry leaders and innovators gathered to share insights on a range of topics, from regulatory landscapes to innovative material solutions. Two keynote presentations set the tone for each conference day:
-
Plastic Recycling from ELV’s – A European Perspective - Ad Rem
-
Driving Change: The Path to Sustainable Automotive Solutions - Ford Motor Company
The conference highlighted the complex global regulations shaping the industry's move towards sustainability. With a focus on how different regions are leveraging policy to promote green practices, the discussions underscored the importance of navigating these changes strategically.
Material innovations and the sustainability challenges they present were also addressed. The industry's shift towards more sustainable materials and the need for efficient recycling processes were key themes, pointing towards a more circular approach to material usage.
Technological advancements were also highlighted, with presentations on new developments designed to enhance vehicle production's environmental footprint. The emphasis was on practical, impactful innovations that contribute to the industry's sustainability goals.
These topics set the stage for excellent Q&A sessions and high level business discussions buzzed throughout the networking session.
