The ITB's 25th annual conference has wrapped up, marking a pivotal moment in addressing the challenges of transitioning to electrification and combating climate change. The Advanced Mobility Fuels Summit provided an essential platform for industry leaders, experts, and innovators to explore solutions in synthetic fuels and hydrogen-based systems, offering promising paths for reducing the environmental impact of the global vehicle fleet. Throughout the event, attendees delved into discussions on the latest trends and technologies in fuel-based powertrains, storage, and delivery systems, and technology shaping the landscape of sustainable mobility for the future.

Attendees sat in on 15 leading presentations in four sessions including an insightful keynote presentation by Phinia:

Hydrogen: A Strong and Viable Technology to Decarbonize Automotive Fuels

Todd Anderson, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer

The energy sector is undergoing change and fuels have a fundamental role to play (not just electricity/batteries). There are many net-zero future fuel options and how the market will react is still evolving.  Hydrogen has a promising future for mobility whether ICE or fuel cells. The presentation will highlight Phinia’s deep system knowledge and capabilities including a discussion of on-road applications of hydrogen components.
